Take a look at our successful Czech-Ukrainian cultural events that we organized in 2025. Thank you to all participants and volunteers!

In total, we organized 5 major events with the participation of more than 900 visitors and 140 performers.

November 2025 Cultural Evening 70+ guests

Ukrainian Vechornyci in Pilsen

A warm, atmospheric and truly Ukrainian event for the whole family - adults and children. A six-hour event with a lecture by cultural expert Olena Usykova about Ukrainian traditions, musical program, didukh-making master class and tasting of Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar cuisine.

Highlights:

  • More than 70 guests of all ages
  • Lecture by cultural expert Olena Usyk about Ukrainian traditions
  • Musical performances by Tetyana Svitlychna, Angelika Protsenko and Hanna Bodnar
  • Ensemble "Ruta" led by Olha Yurchuk
  • Didukh-making master class (14 participants)
  • Ethno photo zone with wheat and dried flowers
  • Ukrainian and world songs, bandura, music quiz about Ukraine
  • Tasting of Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar cuisine
  • 5 volunteers

September 2025 Festival 400+ visitors

Thank You Czech Republic

A grand Czech-Ukrainian day with concerts, dance and interactive program on Pilsen's waterfront. The event symbolically expressed gratitude to the host country.

Highlights:

  • 400+ visitors and 142 performers
  • Performances by Czech and Ukrainian ensembles (folk dance, folklore, modern music)
  • Art workshops and creative classes
  • Tasting of Czech and Ukrainian dishes
  • Involvement of 3 Pilsen associations

Location: Waterfront in the center of Pilsen

August 2025 Independence Day 200-300 visitors

Day of Ukrainian Culture

A festive day for Ukrainian Independence Day with poetry, music and dance in public space in Pilsen.

Highlights:

  • 200–300 visitors
  • Concert of Ukrainian singers, poets and dancers
  • Poetry recitation and musical quiz
  • Art and dance workshops for children
  • Exhibition and art market
  • Involvement of 2 partner organizations working with foreigners

Location: Horníček Hall and public space

Performers: 19 artists

May 2025 Festival 100-200 visitors

Slavic Springs

A community picnic-festival on Božkov Island with musical and dance performances, children's workshops and gastronomy.

Highlights:

  • 100–200 visitors despite unfavorable weather
  • 52 performers (soloists, musicians, duets, folk and dance ensembles)
  • 21 volunteers and 2 associations
  • Support by a microgrant from the Place Where We Live program by Via Foundation
  • Mention by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Czech Republic

March 2025 Literary-Musical Evening ~70 guests

Lunch with Taras

An intimate memorial evening for Taras Shevchenko in the cozy atmosphere of a café with poetry readings, musical performances and discussions.

Highlights:

  • Approximately 70 people
  • 24 performers (soloists, musicians, duets, poets, folk ensembles, opera singer)
  • 11 volunteers and 1 additional association
  • Active participation of Czech and Ukrainian parts of the audience
  • Publication on ProUkrajinu.cz
  • Official mention by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Czech Republic
