Social Dimension of the Project
In Plzeň and its surroundings, nearly 33,000 Ukrainian refugees with temporary protection live (2024), and in the entire Pilsen Region approximately 48,000 Ukrainians – this is the largest group of foreigners in the region.
The majority are women with children who face challenges such as:
- Working below their qualifications
- Unstable housing
- Language barrier and isolation
- Lack of extracurricular activities for children
- Mental burden from war and loss of home

Our Belief
Culture is not a luxury – it is a tool for preventing isolation, frustration and misunderstanding. In our understanding, culture brings people together regardless of age, language or social status.
