Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians left their homeland due to war. Among them are talented singers, musicians, dancers, poets and artists who in Czechia lost their stage, their audience, their purpose. Instead, they work in factories, don't use their talent, lose their identity. We help them find their place in culture again.

Language Barrier Prevents Integration

Artists struggle to integrate into Czech cultural life due to the language barrier. They don't speak Czech, don't know the local cultural environment, have no contacts. We create a platform where language is not an obstacle – the language of culture is understanding without barriers. Music, dance, poetry speak to everyone.

War Destroys Ukrainian Culture

Russian bombs destroy theaters, libraries, music schools, galleries. They kill artists, poets, musicians. Ukrainian culture is existentially threatened. Saving Ukrainian culture here in Czechia is salvation for the entire nation.

Cultural Prevention – Mental Health Protection

War, loss of home, family breakdown – all cause deep psychological trauma. Culture heals. Participation in cultural events, the opportunity to perform, to share one's art helps people process trauma, restore confidence, find meaning. Cultural prevention protects mental health and helps people heal.

Shared Czech-Ukrainian History

Ukrainian culture has been part of Czech history since Austria-Hungary and the First Republic (Subcarpathian Ruthenia). We have common Slavic roots, have influenced each other for centuries. Supporting Ukrainian culture in Czechia continues this tradition – building bridges between brotherly nations.

Promoting Czech Culture in Ukraine

Our events aren't one-directional. We also promote Czech culture in Ukraine – through our YouTube channel (@vseprocz - 14,500+ subscribers), social media and partner media. We create a cultural bridge in both directions.

Utilizing Potential for Czechia

Ukrainian artists in Czechia are enormous untapped potential. Instead of their talent remaining hidden in factories, we can use it to enrich the Czech cultural scene, strengthen Pilsen's international reputation as a multicultural center, develop the creative industry.

Helping Not Lose Identity

In emigration, the biggest risk is loss of cultural identity – especially for children. When Ukrainian children see their dances, hear their songs, learn their poems at our events, they stay connected to their roots. This is crucial for their healthy development and future return home.
